Registered Dental Hygienist
I am from Peru and have lived in Miami since 1995. I graduated from Miami Sunset Senior High School in 1998. In 2000, I had my son Angelo. Once he started school, I wanted to do the same. Since I’ve always gotten compliments about my smile, I decided to become dental hygienist! That way, I could help others have a beautiful and healthy smile, too. I graduated in 2011 from Miami Dade College and being a hygienist has been one of the best decisions I have made in my life. I love to see the difference from the beginning to the end of each patient’s treatment, and how a smile can make a dramatic effect on a person’s life.
I assess the conditions of my patients in order to offer patient-specific preventive and educational services to promote and maintain good oral health. No matter what I’m doing, my patients’ health and comfort are at the forefront of my mind. While I enjoy learning about new and exciting advancements in dentistry, it’s even more fun to teach our patients how easy it can be to have ideal oral health. It’s rewarding to see their improvement, both in their oral health and its positive affect on their daily lives.
I am an active runner and cyclist. I enjoy spending time with my large family, including my twin sister and nieces and their dogs.
I have more than 35 years of experience in chairside assisting and work alongside Dr. Lopez during many of our patients’ procedures. The most important aspect of my job is ensuring the well-being and complete satisfaction of our patients. We here at trueSmiles take a lot of pride in our work, and work very hard to ensure your visit will bring you back to our office again. Our office is such a wonderful, social place to work. I’ve met so many great people here, both in my teammates and in our family of patients.
I'm a mother of two wonderful kids and a grandmother. I enjoy spending my free time with my family.
I assist Dr. Lopez in a range of ways which include facilitating her access to instruments during procedures, sterilizing rooms and instruments, and assisting in the front office with clerical duties. Upon graduating from Concorde Career institute in 2011, I worked as a dental assistant in the front office and as a sterilization technician in the back office setting until joining Dr. Lopez in 2015. The best part of my job by far is interacting with our patients. They’re a really great group of people!
I like meeting and speaking with people about Bible teachings during free time; it is something I really enjoy! I also love spending time with my family, playing soccer and volleyball, drawing, and swimming at the beach.
I am here to assist patients with all their scheduling, billing, insurance, and treatment planning needs, and make sure our office runs smoothly from day to day. I feel so fortunate to be a part of this team. The group of women that I work with and for are very intelligent, independent, and driven. It is an inspiration to be around such beautiful, well-rounded women and I could not have chosen a better team or leader! They all inspire me in so many different ways and I learn so much from them.
I traveled to and lived in other states, including Tennessee and Kentucky, before moving back to Miami in 2012. I have a beautiful son who is now a whole five years old! His name is Jaeden. We do almost everything together; he is more helpful than I could’ve ever imagined a five-year-old boy being. We enjoy our weekend routines. Our most cherished of them is going to church on Sundays. Other than that, our time is mostly spent doing anything active! We are almost never home and we love it!
Registered Dental Hygienist
I graduated from Fairleigh Dickinson University with a degree in dental hygiene in 1967; in the many years I’ve worked at this office, I feel like I’ve truly become a part of our patients’ lives. Not only do I provide preventive care and education so patients can enjoy a lifetime of eating and smiling, I also build relationships with them. My patients truly mean the world to me. I love getting positive feedback and a sense of accomplishment when I can see that a patient has achieved better oral health because of the care I’ve provided.
I have been married for 45 years and have two married daughters, four grandchildren, and a dog. I go to exercise classes on my days off and enjoy traveling to see my daughters and their families. I also have a third-degree Black Belt in Tae Kwon Do and a scuba diving license!
